Frequently asked questions
How do I restore my purchase?
Open PLUed Settings and choose Restore purchases. Use the same store account that made the original purchase. If no purchase is found, confirm the account and try again while online.
How do I get my store's pack?
Open the link your store shared, or scan its QR with your phone's camera. With PLUed installed, PLUed opens and imports the pack. From inside the app: open Library, choose Import Pack, then tap Scan QR, or paste the link and tap Import, or tap Open .plupack File. PLUed says Store Pack imported, with your store's name. Tap OK. Your phone needs a connection the first time it opens a link or QR.
No Import Pack in your Library? You are in shopper view. On Home tap Add your store, or tap Switch to cashier view at the top of Home.
After that your store has its own card on Home, and its items sit under My Store in the Library. See the cashier guide for the full walkthrough.
My store changed its pack. How do I get the update?
The link stays the same. Open Library, then Import Pack: a pack with a newer version shows an Update available tap. A logo your store adds later needs no tap. It shows up by itself, usually the next time you open the app and within a day.
Changing the pack yourself? The steps for the store are in the trainer guide: Change a pack later.
How do I remove a pack, or just one code?
Open Settings, then My Store Data. You can remove one code, one whole store, or everything you added. Your learning history is kept, and a code you remove from a pack stays gone when the pack updates.
How do I report a pack?
On the Import Store Pack screen, tap the flag beside the pack and pick a reason. You can also email [email protected] with the store name.
Do graphics come through when I scan a QR?
Yes. A pack's graphics are PLUed catalog images, and the link and QR bring in codes, practice lists, and graphics together. Your phone needs a connection the first time it opens a pack link; a .plupack file imports without one. If an item shows without its graphic, ask your trainer to re-share the pack from the builder; the link stays the same and your Import screen will show an "Update available" tap.
Why did a code disappear when I changed region?
Some produce codes are regional. Settings can show East / Central, West, or all regions. Changing the region re-filters the codes used across concepts, study, and games. Choose show all if your store uses codes from more than one region.
How does the streak freeze work?
Complete a game session or rate ten flashcards to count an active day. After seven active days, PLUed gives you one freeze if you are not already holding one. A freeze is used automatically for one missed day. You can hold only one.
How should I hold a sticker for the scanner?
About a hand's length from the camera (8 to 12 inches, 20 to 30 cm), and steady. Closer is not better: a camera cannot focus on something a couple of inches away, so the numbers blur. After the first read, the line under the frame says "Read 4011. Hold steady." with your sticker's code. Keep still and the item opens at the next look.
Small print needs a camera that can focus. Phones do well. Some tablets have a fixed-focus camera that reads large print only, and there Type it instead is faster.
What does "No code found yet" mean?
The scanner has looked for about six seconds and has not read a code. It keeps trying. Move the sticker back to a hand's length and hold it still, or tap Type it instead and type the code.
The scanner says a code "is not in PLUed". Now what?
The scanner read the code, and PLUed does not carry it. Many of these are a store's own numbers. If you use PLUed as a cashier, a button under that line opens Add Store Code with the code filled in. Give it a name and PLUed picks the closest picture. As a cashier you can also add any code yourself: Library, then Add Store Code.
Where is the switch between cashier and shopper?
At the top of Home, just under the PLUzzle row: Switch to shopper view or Switch to cashier view. It is also in Settings under Using PLUed as. Switching changes what Home shows. Everything you have learned stays.
Why did a store's logo appear on Home?
Your store added one. A logo arrives by itself on the store's card, usually the next time you open the app and within a day, with nothing to tap. If the store has a wide logo, its card is wider and the logo runs across the top. If a store takes its logo away, it leaves a day or two later.
I have two stores. How do I see one store's items in the Library?
With two or more stores' packs on your phone, the Library shows one chip per store beside My Store. Tap a store's chip to see only that store's items. My Store shows them all together, and All shows everything again. Each store item's card also says which store it belongs to. With one store nothing changes.
My store gave me a code. Where does it go?
On the unlock screen, tap Did your store give you a code? and type it once. The setup page at first launch has the same door: I have a store code. If your app does not show the question, update PLUed to version 1.2 or later.
To reach the unlock screen later, tap any locked level, or open Settings and under Market access tap Unlock everything. Type the store code, or tap Scan the poster, then tap Unlock. On an iPhone or iPad one more sheet opens, from Apple: enter the same store code there to finish. On Android and Fire tablets the first step is all.
The store code unlocks PLUed. Your store's own codes come separately, in its pack: see How do I get my store's pack? above.
PLUed says all of my store's seats are in use.
Every seat on your store's plan is taken, so the store code cannot unlock another phone yet. Tell your manager. From PLUed 1.2.2, a Tell your manager button under that message opens your phone's share options with a short note. The store adds seats from its store page, and your code works as soon as there is room. Steps for the store: When all seats are in use.
Typing the code again on a phone that is already unlocked uses no extra seat.
What can the web demo do?
The demo is PLUed 1.2 in your browser: the new look, Level 1, the Library, the Nutrition explorer, and today's PLUzzle, the same daily puzzle as the app, with a Get the app button. A browser has no camera scanner, importing a store's pack from its link or QR needs the app, and your progress stays in that browser.
I do not see these features in my app.
They are in version 1.2, which is in the App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon Appstore. Not seeing them? Update PLUed from your app store. Settings shows your version at the bottom.
How do I take down a pack my store shared?
Email [email protected] with the store name and, if possible, the hosted link or QR details. We will use that information to identify the hosted pack.
I run a store. Where are the steps for building and sharing a pack?
In the trainer guide. Each task has numbered steps: type your codes, upload a spreadsheet (with an example file), pictures, sharing, changing a pack later, and, on a Store Plan, the store code and poster, seats, and renewing or canceling.
